Scope

This standard specifies the functions, performance of each layer, environmental adaptability, lifespan, power supply and charger, appearance packaging and assembly of 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 digital cellular mobile communication network high-speed packet data (HRPD) (second stage) access terminal aspects of testing methods. This standard applies to 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 HRPD (second stage) access terminals that support UIM cards (machine-card separation) and those that do not support UIM cards (machine-card integration). For 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 HRPD (second stage) that support UIM cards Phase) access terminals, all items in this standard are applicable. For 800MHz/2GHz cdma2000 HRPD (Phase II) access terminals that do not support UIM cards, this standard does not apply to items involving UIM cards and UIM card interface testing.
