- This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings of ship ladder safety hoops (hereinafter referred to as safety hoops). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of safety hoops installed on ships to protect personnel going up and down vertical ladders.
