Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structure and classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of marine diesel engine speed proportional electromagnetic actuators (hereinafter referred to as electromagnetic actuators). This standard applies to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of speed-regulating proportional electromagnetic actuators for marine diesel engines. Electromagnetic actuators for other purposes can be used as a reference.
