- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of linearly graded neutral density filters (hereinafter referred to as "variable density filters"). A linear gradient neutral density filter made of colored optical glass as a base and manufactured by vacuum plating optical films.
