- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of ball valves for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment (hereinafter referred to as "ball valves"). This standard is applicable to ball valves using R22, R134a, R32, R407C, R410A, and R404A as refrigerant fluids and with a diameter not larger than 100 mm. This standard does not apply to ammonia refrigeration systems.
