Scope
This specification covers the engineering requirements for cadmium deposited on ferrous metals. This process has been used typically to provide corrosion resistance to steel parts heat treated to tensile strength of 180 ksi (1240 MPa) and higher and used at temperatures not higher than 450 °F (232 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications.
