It is the user's responsibility to adopt appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in relevant national regulations. Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, inspection, determination and disposal of imported and exported hazardous chemicals that release flammable gases when exposed to water. This standard is applicable to the inspection of self-igniting items of imported and exported hazardous chemicals (see Appendix A for the list of substances that release flammable gases when exposed to water). It does not include substances that are transported in bulk and release flammable gases when exposed to water.
