- Scope
- This standard specifies ASTM F963 testing methods for overall flammability of toys. This standard applies to the overall flammability test of solid and soft toys. The exempted toys are as follows: ——Rope, paper and table tennis balls; ——Accessible parts with a main dimension of 1 in (25 mm) or less; Designed to be removable Textiles shall be individually tested and shall comply with requirements A6 in Appendix A of ASTM F963-2011. Textiles designed not to be removed should be tested as the surface of toys; ——sleeping bags; ——packaging materials discarded by consumers. Parts of packaging materials used for play are not exempt.
