- This standard specifies the classification, size, shape, weight and allowable deviations, ordering content, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of hot-dip galvanized steel strands. This standard applies to hot-dip galvanized steel strands (hereinafter referred to as steel strands) used for overhead power ground wires, communication cables, hangers, suspensions, tethering and fixed objects.
