- This standard specifies the transportation requirements for blood for clinical transfusion. This standard applies to blood transportation between blood collection and supply institutions nationwide, between blood collection and supply institutions and blood collection and supply sites, and between blood collection and supply institutions and medical institutions. This standard does not apply to the transportation of hematopoietic stem cells and derived blood products.
