Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of 4-methyl-5-(beta-hydroxyethyl)thiazole. This standard is applicable to the analysis and evaluation of the quality of 4-methyl-5-(beta-hydroxyethyl)thiazole prepared by chemical reaction using thioformamide and bromoacetylpropanol as raw materials.
