- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test methods, test result calculations and test reports for energy consumption testing of computer-controlled high-speed lockstitch sewing machines. This standard applies to computer-controlled high-speed lockstitch sewing machines (hereinafter referred to as "sewing machines") with a maximum sewing speed of not less than 4,000 stitches/min and with automatic thread trimming, automatic bartack stitching, and automatic counting stitch functions.
