- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, grades and markings, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of expanded perlite. This standard is applicable to expanded perlite used as thermal insulation material in the temperature range of 73K ~ 1073K (-200℃ ~ 800℃) and used to make thermal insulation, sound-absorbing, fireproofing and other products, and to prepare lightweight mortar for construction. Expanded perlite for other uses can also be used as a reference.
