Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the design of safety-related equipment cooling water systems in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants to ensure that the equipment cooling water systems can safely and reliably perform their intended functions. This standard applies to the design of equipment cooling water systems for active pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. It does not include design requirements for equipment cooling water system equipment, nor does it include operation, maintenance and testing requirements for equipment cooling water systems, unless it is consis ent with the system. Design is directly related. It can also be used as a reference for passive dynamic pressure water reactor nuclear power plants.
