Scope: This part of GB 5296 specifies the principles and methods for compiling instructions for use of consumer products (hereinafter referred to as instructions for use). This standard applies to: - consumer product designers, producers, drafters of technical documents or other compilers of such instructions; - technical committees or organizations that develop standards for consumer products. The principles and methods in this section are used in conjunction with specific requirements in specific product standards concerning instructions for use. This part includes the evaluation method of instructions for use of consumer products (see Appendix A), as a reference method and basis for checking the integrity of the contents of instructions for use and evaluating the quality of instructions for use. Appendix A is mainly used by researchers, experts and consumer product evaluation agencies engaged in evaluation work. It also helps the users and managers of this part mentioned in Chapter 1.1.
