Scope

This standard specifies the small sample bench test procedure for the friction and wear performance of automobile brake linings (hereinafter referred to as "linings") and the grade and mark of friction coefficient. This standard applies to disc brake linings for automobiles and drum brake linings for automobiles. This standard does not apply to parking brake linings.
