Scope

This part of GB/T 17394 specifies the inspection and calibration methods of the Leeb hardness tester (hereinafter referred to as the hardness tester) used for the Leeb hardness test. This part applies to the direct test method for testing the basic functions of the hardness tester and the indirect test method for the comprehensive inspection of the hardness tester. The indirect test method can be used independently for regular routine checks of hardness testers in service. This section applies to Leeb hardness testers with D, DC, S, E, D+15, DL, C and G impact devices.
