Scope: The requirements of this part of GB 4943.23 apply to information technology equipment with its own data storage system and dangerous moving parts. These data storage systems, which are typically large enough to allow full access by a single person, also include similarly large devices that allow entire limbs or heads to enter areas where hazardous moving parts exist. The requirements of this part are the annex part of the relevant requirements of IEC 60950-1. Storage components are typically characterized by a three-dimensional space of movement of 0.75m³ or greater. These devices should be installed in restricted access areas such as data centers. The exceptions to 2.1.3 and 4.5.4 mentioned in the note to 1.2.7.3 of IEC 60950-1-2005 do not apply to this part.
