Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the waterproof performance of fabrics by the wet test, and gives the evaluation of the waterproof performance. This standard applies to fabrics with or without water repellent finishing. This standard is not applicable to the determination of the water permeability of fabrics, nor to the prediction of the rain-proof penetration performance of fabrics.
