Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of iron and lead in amino acids by atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of iron and lead in amino acids. The detection limit of lead by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.005 mg/kg; the detection limit of lead by flame atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.1 mg/kg, and the detection limit of iron is 2 mg/kg.
