Scope

This standard specifies the personnel, equipment, materials, environment, coating (system) design principles, process, coating inspection and treatment of unqualified coatings for thermal spray process quality control. This standard applies to the quality control of thermal spraying processes such as plasma spraying, flame spraying and arc spraying.
