Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for fatigue testing of shaft components of aviation gas turbine engines, test procedures, test data analysis and processing, test result evaluation and test report preparation, etc. This standard is applicable to fatigue testing of aviation gas turbine engine main shafts (including turbine shafts, compressor shafts, power turbine shafts and propeller shafts) or shaft components.
