Scope

This part of 60793 establishes uniform requirements for measuring the geometrical characteristics of uncoated optical fibres. The geometrical characteristics of uncoated optical fibres are fundamental values and are necessary for carrying out subsequent procedures such as handling, splicing, connectorization, cabling and measurements.
