This part of ISO 17657 describes a welding current meter with a current measuring coil for measuring the welding time and the effective value (RMS) of the welding current within a certain period of time for single-phase alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz and for direct current. This part of ISO 17657 is applicable to a welding current measurement system with a display or a calibrated output channel that may be connected to a welding monitoring device.
