This European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) specifies the transmission of MPEG-2 Transport Streams (TS) between two DVB interfaces as defined in EN 50083-9 [7] within Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH) networks working at the ITU-T Recommendation G.702 [8] hierarchical bit-rates of 1 544 kbit/s, 2 048 kbit/s, 6 312 kbit/s, 8 448 kbit/s, 34 368 kbit/s, 44 736 kbit/s and 139 264 kbit/s.
