This International Standard specifies a data model and encoding rules for the use of Radio FrequencyIdentification (RFID) tags for items appropriate for the needs of all types of library, including Academic, Public, Corporate, Special and School.This part of this International Standard deals with the encoding rules based on ISO/IEC 15962, which uses an object identifier structure to identify data elements. This enables the optional data elements defined in Part 1 of this International Standard to be selected or not, even to the extent that the RFID tags on different items in the same library may carry different data elements.
