This standard describes a method for enumeration of viable micro-organisms using colony count on blood agar at 37 °C using membrane filtration. The method is particularly suitable for analysis of large samples, which is recommended for analysing swimmingpool water. The method can be used for all types of water, except if there are too many particles in the water.
