Scope: This standard specifies the point estimation, the numerical method and the graphic estimation method of the confidence limit of the reliability measurement test of the product whose life obeys the exponential distribution, or approximately obeys the exponential distribution. This method is applicable to reliability tests after any time or any number of tests. In data processing, more information is useful to obtain higher precision confidence limits and estimates. This method can use existing data from previous tests or field data, provided that such data is provided to be sufficient and complete, it can well determine the reliability of the product. This method is not applicable to data pooled from different sources (for example, raw data from different experimental conditions).
