- Scope
- This standard specifies the tolerances for the major and pitch diameters of grinding taps and the limit sizes for these diameters. Taps produced to this tolerance are used to process pipe threads of the G series and RP series according to ISO 228-1 and ISO 7-1. The internal threads processed with these taps are customarily referred to as "nuts" for short.
