- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and signs of point-type smoke detectors (hereinafter referred to as detectors). This standard applies to detectors installed in general industrial and civil buildings that work on the principle of scattered light, transmitted light (photoelectric smoke induction) and ionization principle (ion smoke induction). Detectors installed in other environments and working according to other principles shall also implement this standard, except that the special technical requirements shall be stipulated separately by relevant standards.
