Scope

This standard specifies the principles and general requirements for the design and application of consumer-related graphic symbols, and serves as the basis for designing consumer-related graphic symbols. This standard is only applicable to graphic symbols related to consumers, not to other graphic symbols. Graphical symbols related to consumers include: Graphical symbols appearing on consumer products and their packages and instructions; Graphical symbols used in public and service places related to consumers. Its role is to help consumers identify, use, install, store and maintain products; provide consumers with public service information, especially safety hazard warnings, etc.
