Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for procedure qualification based on test welding consumables. This section applies to welding methods and parent metals as shown in Table 1. The process qualification of other fusion welding methods can also refer to the relevant provisions of this part. The workmanship evaluation method specified in this part is limited to those parent materials without significant deterioration in the structure and properties of the heat-affected zone.
