- This standard specifies the testing requirements and classification of test results using ultrasonic phased array testing technology to detect aluminum alloy friction stir joints. This standard is applicable to the detection and evaluation of friction stir welded butt joints of aluminum alloys with a thickness of 3mm to 15mm. The inspection and evaluation of joints with other structural forms and thicknesses can be carried out as a reference.
