Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for clinical nuclear medicine patient protection, patient protection and safety, and quality control requirements. This standard applies to the use of radionuclides in the diagnosis and treatment of clinical nuclear medicine, but does not include the implantation of particle sources.
