Scope

This part of GB/T 17889 specifies the general design features, requirements and test methods of portable ladders. This section applies to portable ladders. This section does not apply to antimony stools or special ladders, such as: fire ladders, roof ladders and portable ladders. This section does not apply to ladders that work on or near live systems or equipment. GB/T 17620 applies to such ladders.
