- This standard specifies the basic safety requirements for mechanical shaping of solid rocket motor composite solid propellant grain columns for operators, equipment, tools, operating environment, and workshop construction, as well as the safety requirements for the mechanical shaping operation process. This standard is applicable to the mechanical shaping of medium-energy composite solid propellant grains with a diameter of no more than 315mm and low combustion rates in solid rocket motors.
