Scope

This standard specifies the scope of application, specifications, dimensions, optical density, etc. of the transmissive TV checkerboard test pattern. As an auxiliary tool, this test chart can be used for adjustment of coincidence deviation, black and white balance, and geometric distortion in black and white and color TV camera systems, and can also be used to judge the output signal uniformity of TV camera devices and the ability to handle high brightness.
