Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation and storage of air-insulated bus trunk systems (air-insulated bus ducts). This standard applies to bus ducts with a rated AC voltage not exceeding 1000V (including 1140V) and a frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz. This standard applies to bus ducts in residential areas, commercial areas, public places, agricultural and industrial buildings, or bus duct systems that provide lighting through tap-off units. It also applies to bus duct systems equipped with communication and/or control systems. This standard does not apply to self-contained components selected in busway systems, such as circuit breakers, etc., which should comply with their own technical standards.
