- This standard specifies the classification and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of inspection boxes for explosive gas environments (hereinafter referred to as inspection boxes). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of inspection boxes. The inspection box is used in IIA, IIB and IIC level explosive gas environments for maintenance and distribution.
