Scope: This standard specifies the safety requirements to be observed in the design, manufacture, installation, use and maintenance of various industrial centrifuges (hereinafter referred to as centrifuges) with metal drums (lined or unlined). The safety requirements and measures contained in this standard are aimed at some major hazards that may arise during the design, manufacture, installation and operation of centrifuges, but not all hazards. This standard also stipulates the inspection and judgment methods of the safety performance of the centrifuge. This standard applies to centrifuges (including industrial dehydrators) for all industrial purposes.
