The guideline provides an overview of the specific vibration problems at pumps with nominal power over 1 KW, which is used in plants and devices. The guideline covers pumps in fluid flow engine and displacement engines to the promotion of liquids and suspensions in industrial applications, energy industry as well as plants of supply engineering and waste disposal engineering and engines used for gas production or vacuum generation. Characteristic vibration stimulations with pumps and pump plants and their appearances as well as recommendations for the vibration measurement are shown and/or given.
