- This standard specifies the tests and requirements for checking the mechanical performance of portable sealed batteries and batteries during handling and normal use. The development of this standard has taken into account the relevant national standards and international standards. This standard is applicable to the test purpose, test method and acceptance criteria of portable sealed secondary batteries and battery packs concerned with different electrochemical systems (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH and Li), sizes and shapes (cylindrical, square and button-type) .
