Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the manufacture of seamless and welded steel pipes at two product specification levels (PSL1 and PSL2) for pipeline transportation systems in the oil and gas industry. This standard applies to seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes for oil and gas transmission. This standard does not apply to cast iron pipes.
