This section specifies the characteristics to be given in amplifier specifications, and their corresponding methods of measurement. This standard applies to analog amplifiers and analog/digital amplifiers that make up professional or home sound systems. In general, the measurement method given is the one most directly related to the definition, but it does not preclude the use of other methods that give equivalent results. The rated conditions and standard measurement conditions specified in this part shall be hereinafter referred to as the conditions of specification and measurement.
