Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions and tolerances of locating grooves for the outer rings of single row angular contact ball bearings, four point contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings. Locating grooves are not suitable for use in the outer ring of sealed and dust-proof radial ball bearings, nor are they suitable for the outer ring of cylindrical roller bearings without ribs.
