This standard specifies the non-dispersive infrared method for the determination of sulfur dioxide in exhaust gases emitted from organized sources of stationary pollution. This standard is applicable to the instantaneous and continuous monitoring of sulfur dioxide in waste gases emitted from organized sources of fixed pollution. The detection limit of this method is 3 mg/m³, and the lower limit of determination is 10 mg/m³.
