This standard applies to oil and gas exploration, development and production operations carried out in the internal waters, territorial waters, contiguous zones, exclusive economic zones, continental shelves of the People's Republic of China, and other sea areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China. Chinese oil operators operating in other overseas waters can also refer to it.
