This specification covers a corrosion resistant steel in the form of investment castings. These castings have been used typically for parts which will be machined in the solution heat treated condition and, after precipitation heat treatment, will require good corrosion resistance and strength up to 600 °F (316 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications.
