This part of TB/T 3256 specifies the personnel management, general requirements, environmental requirements, non-destructive testing equipment, equipment and management, and non-destructive testing records for the three non-destructive testing methods of railway locomotives: ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and penetrant testing. This section applies to non-destructive testing of in-service parts of railway locomotives.
