Scope: This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test, inspection rules and signs of fire sound and/or light alarms. This standard applies to fire sound and/or light alarms installed and used in general industrial and civil buildings. The sound and/or light fire alarms with special performance installed in other environments shall also implement this standard, unless the special requirements are stipulated otherwise by relevant standards.
